Jenolan Caves are a roughly a hundred kilometres of mostly unexplored
sandstone caves East of the Blue Mountains.
Before
entering the caves, I take a bush-walk and discover a Wombats den. Weird
looking beasts, they are the size of a medium dog but weigh as much as a full
grown sheep. Fortunately my new friend was placid enough and did not
charge (phew!).
So into the caves. Spectacular? well, not really, but amusing enough owing to
the fact that two largish Canadians joined the tour - which was unfortunate for
them since most of the walkways barely accommodated the Japanese contingent.
