Parting is such sweet sorrowI think William wrote
that… but what do I know? I
wouldn’t know culture if it had invaded a coffee cup left under my bed for
three weeks. However, it is time to
say ‘Ciao’. On June 30th a rowdy rabble descended on Scruffy
Murphy’s in Windsor Street, Uxbridge. In
fairness, this would not have been counted as anything out of the ordinary for a
Saturday night but, on this occasion it was not the usual crowd hell-bent on
getting pissed as newts before the 11pm bell, rather it was a mix of ageless and
aged buddies paying their respects to yours truly. Apparently, a party is never complete without a little Charlie to help things along. Well this evening Charlie was ever present, courtesy of the tattooed bald bloke from the Barbers shop - here's the team photo, complete with Charlie:

All in all a great party - one I shall long remember. We drank Guinness, Greg smoked a cigar larger than himself, everyone made new contacts and several new business ideas sprang up. And, to get me ready for Australian bars, there was a brawl. More photos: |
