Sunday morning, as per Saturday, is reassuringly hot. We're into mid Summer in Sydney now - tales of floods and snowstorms across Europe seeming totally surreal.

Todays' event takes place a hundred metres from our hotel door, and we've kicked off the day with a few rooftop drinks while listening to the warm up bands.

Its a minute venue by comparison to the BDO, in a partially open wharf beside the harbour - complete with bridge views.

The main warehouse has the main acts playing but we're attracted initially to the side areas where funk and house are booming out and hundreds of revellers dance in the suns warm glow.

Getting tickets to the event was close on impossible - by the time we'd found out about it the main batch had sold out. Pure luck had located a small secondary release - and a rapid run to Oxford street followed by and hours queuing had enabled Isobel and I to secure the promise of five tickets each. However, when we got to the front of the queue, the clerk informed us they only had 13 left - and it would now be unfair to allow us to take five each as there was still quite a queue.  A major row ensued - he lost. We got 10 tickets.

So, Alison, Paul, Vee, Tom, Iso, Edwin, Elaine, myself and the lovely jubley couple Ed and Linda were able to attend the ball.

Top billing for the day was band of the moment Jamiroqui, and J.K. was playing too (in joke, sorry). But the warm ups were great and by the time the main event hit the stage, the concert looked more like a gigantic party.

Jamiroqui did not disappoint - cranking out 'Return of the Space Cowboy', 'Deeper Underground' and 'Little L' to a delighted, nay, delirious crowd.

Midnight marked the end of the concert - and 36 hours of partying for us. What a night, what a month, what a year!

Thanks Ed and Linda for always providing a spontaneous time.
