Next on our Awesome foursome is a ride on the 'World Famous' (and award winning) Shotover Jet.

Now, having done a jet boat in Sydney, we're expecting more of the same.

We clamber into one of the Jets, with another Jason as our driver. He seems to know his stuff - and soon proves it!

Hurtling at around 40knots along the river, we take sharp bends with style and get perilously close to canyon walls.

The boat draws around 10cm when under way so the gravel sides are no problem - we come extremely close to rocks and the edge of the river, so close it seems we'll hit and flip.

Then Jason puts an arm in the air and draws a circle with his finger - slams the brakes on and turns the wheel hard - we spin 360 degrees and then continue on... What a buzz!

The ride continues - we have around 30 minutes of stunts and death defying scrapes with canyon walls (he spins one time and ends up just inches from a granite wall!).
