We spend three and a half days in the town of Siem Reap. Possibly one of the most intense sections of the trip to date as everything is new and exotic from the shadow puppetry and traditional dance shows, to the sights and smells of the Vietnamese floating village, the massage by blind men, the three year funeral of a high priest, and the bribery required to get a peek at the statues carefully stored on 'The Conservation' on outskirts of town. In addition, we visit the remarkable temples and even get to see a few sights off the beaten track and I get to eat snake. And do you know what? It tastes remarkably like fried chicken! |
